Tymoshenko sure the gas price will increase gradually

At the session of the Cabinet on Wednesday Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said that the gas price for Ukraine would increase gradually.

According to her, during the yesterday’s meeting with Gazprom head Aleksey Miller they found the compromise regarding the formation of gas price for Ukraine for the next year.

The Premier also noted that in the nearest future the talks between Gazprom and Central Asian gas supplies – Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan – would be finished, and then it would be possible to fix final prices.

“As agreed earlier during my visit to Moscow, the gas price increase for Ukraine up to the market level will be gradual, step-by-step during several years,” Tymoshenko said.

She underlined that there would be no stresses and shocks regarding this question.
