Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko hopes for intensification of the cooperation with the International Monetary Fund. During her meeting with ambassadors of G7, Eurocommission, representatives of IMF and the World Bank in Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko stressed that cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF has always been constructive: “We will correlate the program of our collaboration and advance it.”
Yulia Tymoshenko opined, while correlating the cooperation program between Ukraine and the IMF, pragmatic actions are to be joined, which should be made now in economics and social sphere, with political opportunity to lead respective decisions through the Parliament. “You are well aware the Verkhovna Rada is in the process of preparation to the presidential election and it is rather hard to take grave but unpopular changes to the Laws in this Parliament,” Yulia Tymoshenko explained.
Besides, according to Yulia Tymoshenko, in the process of elections a well-known maxim works “the worse, the better”, as responsibility for the situation is laid upon the Government. “But we take with patience all this responsibility, placed upon us,” she added.
