Speaking to journalists after the meeting on coordination of state authorities’ work in economic crisis, President Yushchenko expressed assurance that Ukraine had taken all the steps necessary for restoring cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.
According to him, today Ukraine has finished revision of disputed issues, particularly balancing Pensions Fund, state budget and ‘Naftogaz of Ukraine’ business plan, president's press office informs.
President Yushchenko informed that the next week the Verkhovna Rada and the Government would dedicate to elaboration and discussion of a draft law on balancing Pensions Fund and similar document on partial balancing of the budget. Beside that, according to him, it is very important that the Government canceled all of its regulations, foreseeing coverage budgetary deficit through issuing internal state loan bonds, allowing the Cabinet to interfere into National Bank’s support of the economy and national banks, etc.
“I gave 24 hours for preparation of the letter on Ukrainian side’s intentions to be completed. And I hope that in this time the Ukrainian side will send this letter to the IMF Mission,” said Viktor Yushchenko.
