BYuT to challenge election results at several polling stations

BYuT MP Andriy Shkil has no doubts that supporters of presidential runner Yulia Tymoshenko will appeal the returns in the presidential runoff election at least at 1,000 polling stations, he told the press Tuesday.

Shkil said that 'documents are being thoroughly prepared now', this particularly refers to the homebound voting irregularities, the extremely high, in his words, number of mutilated ballots. "We doubt fair election at more than 1,000 stations across Ukraine in general, and I am sure we will prove this in the courts," the MP stressed.

In turn, Oleksandr Chernenko, Head of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine (CVU), says it is unreal to challenge the presidential election returns in the courts.

According to CVU's assessments, the election returns can be appealed only at 10-20 polling stations.
